It is important to continue to work hard each and every day you are in school. If you have trouble with any of your work, be sure to use your daily study hall to ask your teachers for help. Be a leader and help those around you with their work as well. Also, lead by example and show your Panther Pride by following all of the PAWS laws and encourage others to do so as well.
The week ahead in math:
6th: Focus will shift towards decimals this week and estimation. They will be estimating (rounding) to whole numbers then performing the operations. They will also be asked to estimate a meal at a restaurant using the skills they learned for the week.
7th: This group will finish up decimals with dividing on Tuesday and Wednesday. Then it's time to review for the first test of the year on Friday. Students have been keeping notes and should use them on their tests.
8th: We will look at the distributive property and scientific notation this week. This will conclude a look at exponents and the rules that go along with multiplying and dividing exponents.
Please be sure to do your homework!
Have a great weekend!
