The midway point of the 2nd quarter is quickly approaching. It's hard to believe we're almost halfway through the school year in just about a month. It's important to stay ahead in the classroom and do your work on time. As many of you have seen, it is better to stay ahead than to catch up constantly with your studies. Keep working hard!
6th Math: The 6th graders are entering the algebra unit this week. We'll be starting with algebraic expressions, identifying variables, and moving towards solving equations. They will also continue to strengthen their integer skills as well.
7th Math: The 7th graders enter their second week in the algebra unit. They have already been evaluating and writing expressions. This week, they will solve equations and write equations from word problems.
8th Math: The 8th graders have been challenged thus far by simplifying like terms with algebraic expressions. We have moved into more complex type problems and will eventually solve multi-step equations in which they will have to perform several steps in order to find the vaul
