6th Grade: These students will be finishing up integers this week by working on identifying and applying rules for multiplying and dividing positives/negatives. They will also combine the integer rules and apply them to PEMDAS problems. This will be a challenge, but I am sure they will be up for the task. It is important that they follow along in class, ask questions, and complete work this week.
7th Grade: They will be finishing up their study of rational numbers by multiplying and dividing rational numbers. All of last week they spent a great deal of time adding and subtracting mixed rational numbers. They were rolling through these problems by the end of the week. Keep working hard!
8th Grade: The 8th graders are in the middle of the equations unit. They have solved 1 and 2 step equations. In addition, they have been able to write and solve equations from word problems. This week they will write and solve 2-step equations from word problems and simplify expression by combining like terms. They will be revisiting how to use the distributive
