The week at a glance:
6th: They will be solving all operations inequalities and graphing their solutions. They will be using skills they learned from the equation unit to solve the operations. They will also continue to graph and find solutions to inequalities.
7th: The 7th graders are headed towards a test this week, most likely on Friday. They are working on solving multiplication/division inequalities. While learning this skill, they will need to determine if the inequality symbol is flipped based on the coefficient. Also, there will be inequalities written from word problems. They will continue graphing and will end the unit solving 2 step inequalities.
8th: This class will begin the week writing inequalities from word problems before transitioning to 2 step inequalities with ration numbers. They will be solving inequalities with fractions, mixed numbers. The week winds up with them taking a look at compound inequalities.
Please continue to encourage your student to do their homework on time and turn it in when it is due.
Have a great week!
