6th Grade: The 6th graders are in the middle of writing and solving equations. They have been working hard learning about inverse operations and using those integer rules they have already learned. In addition, they have been working on their Million Dollar Project. Could you spend a $1,000,000? Ask your student how they are spending their money.
7th Grade: They are at the tail end of their unit on equations. They should have test this week. They've been working hard solving 1 & 2 step equations that have fractions, integers, & decimals. They will be starting a mathematician biography project this week. They will be researching a mathematician and creating a power point.
8th Grade: The 8th graders will take their MAP placement test Monday at Limestone. They will use these scores to plan their schedules their freshman year. They have been challenged with multi step equations. It is something that has taken a lot of time but they have been progressively getting better and their confidence is on the rise as well. They have been working on a project to remodel the classroom given a $2500 budget and a common list of things they want changed in the room.
Keep working hard!
